Flying Drones Legally - Basic Requirements For Information
You need a Flyer ID (proves you know the rules; free online test, valid 5 years) and an Operator ID (shows who’s responsible for the drone; £12.34/year, valid 1 year). Children under 13 take the test with a parent. Operators must be 18+, but under-18s can fly using an adult’s Operator ID.
